Creating the work

I have over 50 years of love stories accrued from working 5 decades as a couple and family therapist. They emerge spontaneously when I draw a life model. I never know whether the poem is a response to the model, what happened in my life that week or from deep in my memory of love stories. Probably all three and more I don’t recognise.

Every love story has three phases that form a circle: harmony, disharmony and repair. These poems touch on each sometimes from a moment and others over a lifetime. Disillusionment brings the darkest of omens, demanding the widest reach into our shared humanity.

I have published two books so far. One autobigraphical fiction Dream Life of Debris 2nd Edition and the other Excavating the Unconscious Both available online booksellers.
